A Mathematician by training, Jyoti has had a long career as an educationist.

The idea of pursuing design occurred to her while on a sabbatical from work. And Beetroute was thus born. Starting off as a hobbyist’s part time personal project, Beetroute Design Studio today has an identity of its own.

Jyoti is very vocal about her response to Vitiligo (a skin condition that she developed in her mid thirties) and beauty myths in our country at large. Her personal style involves extensive usage of imaginative ‘Mixing-and-Matching’ various separates to create exciting looks that are functional yet new.
